Violeta Urmana makes a guest appearance in her home country with Wagner's Wesendonck-Lieder and Isoldes Liebestod on June 3 at the Lithuanian National Opera. Then on June 10 and 11 she will be singing the mezzo soprano solo in Verdi's Requiem at the Opéra Bastille in Paris.
On June 21 she can be heard singing Santuzza in Cavalleria rusticana in St. Petersburg. Next stop is La Coruña in Spain, where on June 26 she will be part of a Wagner Gala at the Palacio de la Opera, while on July 1 and 3 she will again perform in Verdi's Requiem at the opera house in Madrid.
She returns to the BBC Proms this year to take part in a concertante performance of Tristan und Isolde on July 27 with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Semyon Bychkov.
She is also invited this year to the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival to give Isolde on August 1 in a concertante performance of Act 2 of Wagner's opera in the Music and Congress Hall in Lübeck.
